Hi, I’m Dana, and I once thought “budget” was a four-letter word.
I’m a wife and Mother to four kids, including twin boys and two girls. I’m passionate about family, finance, video and the DEBT FREE Community. I work full-time outside the home in Corporate Finance within the Philadelphia area, but enjoy sharing my personal and parenting journey online through video.
I began sharing my parenting journey on YouTube in 2011. My twins were just a few months old. After searching for tips on cloth diapering twins, which we did to save money, I realized there weren’t many videos on YouTube discussing cloth diapering, at that time.
My YouTube channel was born and I became “MsDiaperD“. I began sharing my twin cloth diaper stash, tips and tricks for cloth diapering, and what’s in my diaper bag. I was surprised to discover people subscribing to me, and when one of my early videos went semi viral I was shocked. I began posting weekly cloth diapering videos including twin care, toddler topics, home organization, recipe and craft tutorials.
Then after our family discovered Dave Ramsey and the Total Money Makeover, we began our journey of getting out of debt. Our family made the commitment to NEVER borrow money, ever again. We truly believe the borrower is slave to the lender, and decided to stop living paycheck to paycheck.
We paid off over $98,000 in consumer debt and in 2016 my YouTube Channel was rebranded “Debt Free Dana“. Every Tuesday, I share frugal living tips, how to get out of debt as well as smart money advice.
In addition to my YouTube channel, I founded #YTMM (YouTube Mommy Meetup), a community for YouTube Moms (and Dads!) with over 3,000 members. I’m also the creator of an annual summer social media networking event for YouTube creators to connect, collaborate and meet.
